Abstract (ENG): |
Growing demand for last mile home delivery services encourages new home delivery concepts. One of these concepts is city-crowd-logistics (CCL), which can be interpreted as a local urban instance of the physical internet (PI). We explain the concept of CCL, report on a physical proof of concept test for CCL, summarize related process aspects and network design aspects, report on a small scale survey which provides a first insight into the willingness of urban citizens to participate in CCL-services in exchange for a monetary compensation, and indicate the needs for further research. |
