Abstract (ENG): |
Technology-mediated interviews are increasingly finding their way into selection processes. However, it is unclear which factors lead to their use and how recruiters perceive these interviews. In the present study, 98 recruiters were surveyed regarding reasons for the use or nonuse of these interviews and their perceptions of them. The results showed that innovativeness in IT, the perceived usability, the perceived usefulness, the ease of implementation, and accessing a larger applicant pool are relevant factors for the use of technology-mediated interviews. With regard to the perception of technology-mediated interviews, recruiters tend to share the perception of applicants and view these interviews more skeptically than face-to-face interviews. |
