Abstract (ENG): Current broadcast networks make use of either a single frequency network (SFN) or a multi frequency network (MFN) approach. In this paper a new scheme is presented which combines the strength of both MFNs and SFNs. Considerations towards the implementation with digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) are also given. The applicability of this concept is shown by a signal propagation simulation and an efficiency study.
