Abstract (ENG): This research aims to investigate whether women are treated equally in the business environment of intrapreneurship and mature companies. Overall, nine expert interviews were conducted with employees of a German corporate start-up and a French subsidiary of a German mature company. Additionally, qualitative research in the form of classical content analysis and netnography in Germany and France were performed. The primary findings show that in both countries improvements towards gender equality in the business environment are already made. To achieve this, there are internal company programmes, national and international initiatives, and political regulations that promote the advancement of women. Mentoring opportunities and Europe-wide laws also contribute to this goal. However, at this state, challenges and inequalities persist, such as the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions and insufficient encouragement of women’s careers.
