This short paper presents an exemplary morphology to conceptualize an industrial metaverse-enabled net-zero smart learning factory, starting the learning journey from traditional industrial setups towards industrial metaverse-
managed factories targeting practitioners, full-time, and part-time students.
Therefore, we adapt existing morphologies to our conceptual design for the innovative learning factory at TTZ Leipheim, integrating industrial metaverse technologies with manufacturing processes for indoor drone production. The smart factory includes, e.g., a novel Control Tower concept in which students, visitors, and operators use smart glasses and spatial computing to monitor, interact with, and control production processes. We exemplify our proposed morphology, map attributes, and objectives in production areas. Therefore, we demonstrate how physical assembly stations, AGV-powered logistics, or immersive digital interfaces provide our stakeholders with smart factory knowledge. Thus, the paper outlines a structured morphology for designing the next-generation learning factory and its alignment with learning objectives. |
